Origin and Concept


Prometheus.exe is a German Dark-Electro and EBM project with a distinct Batcave aesthetic.

Founded in 2019 in Radevormwald, near Wuppertal, the band has followed a clear path from the very beginning: no chase for big tours or quick profits. The focus is on the scene and the music itself. The sound is unique, often controversial, and deliberately positioned outside conventional patterns.

Prometheus.exe moves along the edges of Batcave, Darkwave, EBM, and Dark Electro. Driving 4/4 beats, cold synths, heavy basslines, and occasional orchestral layers create a dense, chilling atmosphere. Lyrically, the band addresses digital isolation, societal transformation, and personal abysses. The aim is to give Batcave and Darkwave a contemporary, darker note without denying their roots.




Collaboration and Influences


Prometheus.exe consciously collaborates with musicians from diverse areas of electronic music.

These collaborations leave their individual mark on single tracks without overshadowing the band’s core.
Influences and contributions stem from 80ies Batcave , Goa, EBM, Minimal, Acid, and other electronic genres.


Vocal artistry outside the dark scene is also deliberately integrated, for instance through guest singers, chants, or layered voices that add new contrasts.

Prometheus.exe is more than just a sonic image: the band takes a clear stance.

Symbolism of the Mask


The visual symbol of Prometheus.exe is a black Guy Fawkes silhouette with dark golden contours, standing for the clear rejection of discrimination,


  • resistance against right-wing extremism,
  • commitment against exploitation and abuse of people with disabilities,
  • special protection of people with severe disabilities,
  • independence, dignity, and expression in a technology-driven present.

The mask is a consciously chosen statement, reflecting the band’s inner attitude: visibly taking a stand without conforming to expectations.

Live activity is not a primary goal; the priority lies in powerful productions, collaborations, and the constant evolution of the band’s style, music, and the emotions tied to it.
